Biography

Enrico Ronco of Telecom Italia serves on the Steering Committee for the OASIS Telecom Member Section; his term extends to May 2011.

Enrico uses his breadth of experience in the field of telecommunications to promote the development, adoption and use of the OASIS standards in the Telecom industry. Enrico has relationships with various SDOs such as the TM Forum, and he is instrumental in establishing reciprocal working relationships with these organizations to better serve the Telecom industry.

Enrico’s experience as a telecom provider brings a unique perspective to the work being developed within the Member Section and increases interaction with telecom providers. His knowledge is influential as OASIS Telecom defines the technology requirements of the telecom providers with the goal of creating a means for rapid deployment of new services that are capable of leveraging their infrastructure and increasing competitive advantages.

Enrico graduated with a Computer Science degree in 1990 and soon after started to work in telecommunications.
