OASIS Telecom activities are managed by a Steering Committee that consists of seven members. The current OASIS Telecom Steering Committee members were appointed to organize and launch the Member Section's first year of operation. They include:

Meetings

The Steering Committee meets by teleconference. All OASIS Telecom participants are encouraged to raise issues for discussion through the Steering Committee mailing list or by getting in touch with any of the Steering Committee members individually. OASIS Telecom participants are invited to attend Steering Committee meetings as Observers.

Minutes of each Steering Committee meeting are posted to the Member Section mailing list; the archives of this list are publicly accessible.

Elections

Beginning in 2009, Steering Committee members will be nominated and elected by the OASIS Telecom membership in an open process. Each Steering Committee member will serve a two-year term. For consistency of management, terms will be staggered so that four seats expire one year and the other three expire the following year. The next Steering Committee election will be held April 2009.
